Vintage Friday Facts October 2025

✨ Vintage Friday Fact #19

Did you know the iconic Louis Vuitton Noé bag was originally designed in 1932 to carry… champagne bottles? ???? Specifically, five of them, four standing upright and one upside down in the middle. A chic way to travel in style, don’t you think? ????

✨ Vintage Friday Fact #20

In the photo, you can see different gold markings from vintage Chanel bags with genuine 24k gold-plated hardware. ????????
Over the years, Chanel worked with multiple suppliers, such as Desrues, Goossens, and Rouvenat. Each manufacturer had their own way of stamping the CC closure, and markings changed subtly depending on production year and assembly location.

From no marking in the early ’80s, to a vertical line, a square ◻️, a circle O, or a tiny CHANEL logo in the late ’90s, each variant tells a little piece of Chanel history.

Three bags, three different gold marks… and all authentically Chanel. ✨

Vintage Friday Fact #21????

Back in the early 2000s, Gucci had a thing for playful touches like this chic leather flower with the subtle GG emblem. ????
It’s that perfect mix of femininity, flair, and Italian craftsmanship we can’t get enough of. ✨
