    VINTAGE FRIDAY FACTS- MAY 2025

Vintage Friday Fact #1 – The Chanel Diana bag

Did you know that the iconic Chanel Diana bag was named after none other than Princess Diana herself?

This elegant handbag was designed by Karl Lagerfeld in the late ’80s and quickly became one of Diana’s go-to accessories. She was often spotted wearing it, which helped solidify its timeless status and its royal nickname.

With its signature quilted leather, curved flap, and classic chain strap, the Diana bag is a true heirloom piece—refined, graceful, and touched by royal history.

Vintage Friday Fact #2 – Chanel stopped using 24k gold👀

Did you know that until 2008, Chanel mostly used 24k gold-plated hardware on their iconic bags? It added not only extra shine, but also a true sense of luxury and craftsmanship.🙌

So why did they stop? 24k gold plating is beautiful, but more expensive to produce. To reduce costs, Chanel fully transitioned to gold-toned metals without real gold after 2008.

Just one more reason to treasure those early vintage gems even more!❤️

Explore our selection at www.luxrewear.com – you’ll find several timeless pieces still crafted with genuine 24k gold-plated hardware.

Vintage Friday Fact #3 -The LV monogram design since 1896

Did you know the world-famous LV monogram has been around since 1896? It was designed by Georges Vuitton, the son of founder Louis Vuitton, as a way to protect the brand from the growing wave of counterfeits. He created a timeless pattern inspired by Eastern and Victorian influences that is still recognized and cherished worldwide today.

The Mini Looping proudly carries this heritage: elegant, functional, and now a beloved vintage collector’s item.
