Care advice
With proper care, your item can last a lifetime. However, keep in mind that leather can naturally change over time in terms of color, patina and shape. To ensure that you continue to enjoy your item to the fullest, we would like to give you the following maintenance tips:
Protection
Protect your item from moisture, oily substances such as makeup and sunscreen, ink (from pens, for example), perfume and other alcoholic products, as these can damage the material.
Use
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, artificial light and extreme heat, as these factors can affect the color of the leather and cause it to dry out. If your item comes in contact with water, pat it dry immediately with a soft, absorbent lint-free cloth. Overloading the item should be avoided; give it a rest from time to time. Using a “bag insert” can help protect the inside of your bag during use.
Care
Regular maintenance, adjustments or even restorations can help keep your item in top condition. We recommend maintaining your item every 24 months, or more often with daily use. Feel free to contact us for more information on recommended restorers.
Storage
When not in use, preferably store your item in the dust bag and box provided. Carefully pad the inside with paper, bubble wrap or a “bag insert” to maintain its shape. If your item has a chain strap, make sure to store it well protected to avoid prints on the leather on the outside.
